Michael Adkison

With a background in covering politics, investigations, and history, Michael Adkison joins the CBS Austin team, covering the Texas Legislature.

Born in Flower Mound, Michael received a Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 2020 and a Master’s degree in news narrative in 2021, both from the University of Arkansas. While there, he produced award-winning content for student news programs three years in a row, while also writing for Facing South and Arkansas Soul. He then worked in Jefferson City, Missouri, covering the Missouri legislature, as well as other high-profile issues facing the state.
