Over 11,000 Central Texans without power following Wednesday night storms

Over 12,000 Central Texans were affected by power outages following Wednesday night's thunderstorms.

As of Austin Energy's latest available outage map update at 8:52 p.m., there were 139 active outages affecting 10,953 people -- and almost half live in South Austin.

Austin Energy reported having a technical issue with its outage map and reporting system and says crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore the power.

If you are experiencing a power outage, report it to Austin Energy at 512-322-9100.

Oncor's power outage map showed there were 17 outages affecting 211 people in Travis County and 32 outages affecting 1,534 people in Williamson County at 9 p.m.

Oncor said crews are actively working to restore power to its customers.

Bluebonnet reported at 9 p.m. the following numbers of households without power: 4 in Austin, 1,300 in Caldwell County, 380 in Travis County, 444 in Bastrop County, and 567 in Guadalupe County.
