UPDATE: Officials with the U.S. Marshals Service say Tavon Clark was recently captured after a tip from a viewer.

Further details were not immediately available.

===================

ORIGINAL STORY:

Tavon Clark, 37, is wanted for failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. It comes after he was convicted for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

“Tavon Clark was convicted and sentenced in Travis County in 1999 to four years inside the Texas Department of Criminal Justice followed by 10 years of probation,” said Deputy U.S. Marshal Brandon Filla.

He’s also required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, but last month officers didn’t find him at his last known address in the 1100 block of Georgetown St. in Round Rock. And it’s not the first time it’s happened.

“This is an individual that has not only violated once or twice, but now the third time for failure to comply with sex offender registration,” said Filla.

Clark has a long criminal record with 10 arrests and seven convictions.

“He has other charges such as assault with bodily injury, narcotics, failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements not once, but twice, as well as failure to ID,” said Filla.

Tavon Clark is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. If you have any information on his whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 512-800-4213.
