AUSTIN, Texas — You've probably heard people talk about how bad drivers are in whatever state they're from, even here in Texas.
But now, there's a report to back up the Lone Star State's claim to having some of the worst drivers in the United States.
According to a study by CarInsuranceComparison.com, Texas is tied with Montana for the third-worst drivers in the country.
Texans are especially bad about driving drunk, the study found, with nearly 46% of all traffic deaths involving a driver that had been drinking.
27.2% of traffic deaths involve speeding. In 2019, Texas was ranked #5 overall.
